Beef and Pepper Stir Fry
I am still getting green peppers in the garden and this was a great way to use them.
peanut oil for drizzling
1 green bell pepper, sliced into strips
1 small onion, quartered
2 celery stalks, sliced thinly
1 clove garlic, minced
1/2" fresh ginger, minced
1 1/4 lb sirloin steak, trimmed and sliced thinly
2 T cornstarch
2 T soy sauce
1 t beef bouillon granules or 1 bouillon cube
pinch white pepper
hot cooked white rice

In wok drizzled with a little oil, stir fry vegetables on medium high heat for a few minutes. Stir in garlic and ginger and stir fry another minute or so. Remove veggie mixture from wok and set aside. Add additional oil; stir fry beef til just browned. Remove from wok.
In a small bowl, whisk together 1 cup water, cornstarch, soy sauce, bouillon and pepper. Pour into wok. Increase heat to high. Cook til thickened. Taste sauce and adjust as desired.
Stir in veggies and steak and cook a few more minutes or til beef is cooked to desired doneness.
Serve stir fry with additional soy sauce atop rice. (I also added a little garlic chile sauce to mine).
