Anchor Bar Buffalo Chicken Tenders
My dad gave us a couple bottles of Anchor Bar buffalo sauce for chicken wings.
According to the bottle, Anchor Bar is the "originator" of the buffalo style chicken wings. Of course, I've heard that same thing from many different sources, all claiming to be the original.
Basically, I marinated about 1 pound of chicken breast (boneless and skinless), cut into thin strips, in a mixture of buttermilk and homemade steak seasoning. I tossed the strips with about 1/2 cup flour and fried them til crispy and golden brown.
It was tossed with the sauce as the bottle directs.
I served these easy tenders with parmesan potato slices and homemade parmesan ranch dressing. The potatoes were made by slicing several potatoes lengthwise and tossing them with vegetable oil and steak seasoning, baking at 425° for 30 minutes. The cheese is sprinkled on during the last 15 minutes or so.
A "no recipe" recipe.
This brand is a good basic wing sauce.
