Club Submarine Sandwiches
Delicious baked subs!
1 large sub bun (I used homemade), sliced lengthwise
prepared Italian dressing (or make your own)
crisp fried pepper bacon
sliced smoked turkey
sliced smoked ham
sliced provolone cheese
thinly sliced tomato
very thinly sliced red onion
Preheat oven to 450°.
Brush cut sides of bun with dressing. Layer with bacon, turkey, ham and cheese. Bake open faced about 10 minutes, or til the cheese is melted and sandwich is hot. Top with your favorites and fold. Slice in half.
I served the sandwiches with tomato and onion slices and a bowl of onion soup.
