Chile-Lime Burgers with Avocado Salad
This is my version of the guacamole cilantro burger I recently posted a link to:

Avocado Salad
2 avocadoes, halved, peeled, and sliced
1/2 lime, juiced
1/2 t chili powder
about 2 T fresh cilantro or parsley
2 T red onion, minced
1 garlic clove, minced
sea salt to taste
Burgers
1 lb ground round or ground beef
1/4 cup minced onion
2 cloves minced garlic
1/2 lime, juiced
1/2 t jalapeno powder (optional)
salt and pepper to taste
sliced Colby cheese
sliced tomato (optional)
burger buns or Kaiser rolls, toasted
Preheat grill over medium high heat.
Toss avocado and remaining ingredients in a small bowl; cover tightly and set aside.
In a large bowl, mix together beef, onion, garlic, lime and salt and pepper. Form into 3-4 patties. Cook to desired doneness.
Add a slice of cheese to each burger during the last minute or so of cooking.
I served the burgers on the buns with a spoon of salad, a little salsa verde with a side of mac n cheese.
