Simple Beef Sirloin Tips

After cooking all weekend, I decided a minute meal was in order for tonight.

Measurements are approximate.

1- 1 1/2 lb sirloin steak, cut into strips
1/4 cup flour mixed with your favorite beef seasoning (I used Weber)
salt and pepper
2 T olive oil
2 T butter
1/2 onion, chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
1 small can mushrooms, drained and liquid reserved
1/2 cup white wine

Toss beef with herbed flour and salt and pepper. Set aside for 30 minutes.

Heat oil and butter in a large saucepan over medium high heat. Brown beef and onion. Stir in garlic and mushrooms and continue to cook for another minute or so.

Stir in mushroom liquid and wine. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer til thickened.

I served the steak and gravy over buttermilk and parsley mashed potatoes.http://media-files.gather.com/images/d550/d714/d744/d224/d96/f3/full.jpg
